One takeaway from 'Developing a Maker Mindset' by Lisa Regalla
One takeaway I had from this reading is that younger students need freedom in artmaking. With more freedom, they can explore, imagine, and build confidence in art. I really agree with the part about giving students more space because when they are allowed to choose their own materials, methods, and directions, they can create in more personal ways, and that leads to more meaningful outcomes. It made me think that art education should be about supporting younger students’ play and self-expression.
